ABSTRACT
Dental caries is a dental disease, its have many symptom and sign such as : dental tissue damage, starting from the surface of the tooth and extends into the pulp. Dental caries is a disease of the teeth and mouth. It’s number one in the world with a high incidence, Dental Caries have many factors including, one of them is the habit of consuming formula milk. Objective : to determine the correlation between giving formula milk with dental caries in preschool child.
Method using a cross sectional study, the sample has 64 respondents of 181 Respondent, the sampling technique using stratified random sampling. Statistical analysis using the chi-square test. The results showed there are correlation between giving formula milk with dental caries in preschool child (p-value = 0.001).
Suggestion: expected for parents to always consult and check their dental health of their children in a dentist or public health center.
